This week's Vintage Camper of the Week - 1913 Earl Trailer and Model T Ford
The reason I chose this one is because it is one of the oldest non-tent travel trailers.
Since I've been working here at American RV Company, I've become more fascinated with all the different recreational vehicles out there and it was only time before I decided that it would be a fun idea to do a Vintage Camper of the Week topic.
With that being said, researching what would be the oldest recreational vehicle was not an easy task. Depending on what kind of recreational vehicle, motorized camper, better term or lack there of, gauges what time period the "first" one was ever built.
You can say that the Conestoga wagon was the First RV or even the wagons that the gypsys roamed the world in as the first travel trailer.
But I went the motorized route and this Model T seems the be the oldest that I could find.
There isn't much info about this one, but there is a photo and you can visit it physically at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana.
