Travel Channel's Top RV Parks!

Posted by Cristina Escarilla on 7/27/2012 to Stories

RVs keep getting snazzier -- automatic leveling, patio attachments, ever more enveloping home entertainment systems. The bells, whistles and kazoos on modern RVs can make the open road a lot more comfortable, but when it comes time to park and unwind you want an RV park that will make you feel at home.

As any experienced camper can attest, not all RV parks are created equal and not every camper puts the same value on a given set of amenities. Campers seeking vast open space and views may lean towards state and national parks, while those in search of ISO-reliable business facilities and a choice of good restaurants might prefer a privately-owned campground just outside a town. Even across those generalities quality varies from budget to swanky.

Here's [their] list of some of the top RV parks in the US today.

Devastating East Kootenay Landslides!

Posted by Cristina Escarilla on 7/16/2012 to Stories
In the past week there have been a couple mudslides in the East Kootenay region of southeastern B.C. destroying many parts of the area, leaving people stranded and taking the life of at least one person with a few people still missing.
There is still a search for those few missing, but the future is bleak with this search.
I hope there are no other casualties, but I send my condolences to the family that lost their loved one and that everyone is safe and able to evacuate out of the vicinity.

Dierks Bentley, Junk Gypsies and a Vintage Airstream!

Posted by Cristina Escarilla on 7/13/2012 to Vintage Trailer of the Week
Dierks Bentley one of the hottest country singers out there acquired the help of the "Junk Gypsies" to help renovate and decorate a vintage Airstream trailer he had purchased.
According to the GAC (Great American Country) website, Dierks has an affinity for vintage items and loves to enjoy the items he owns like his throughly broken in boots (which he duct tapes before each show), tour bus (which has now has 1 million miles) & the truck he drove in when he moved to Nashville.
He contacted and spoke to the Junk Gypsies (Amie & Jolie Sikes) via video chat and they went over what he liked and what he was looking for.
