John Madden, the well-known football coach turned TV sportscaster, turned away from the back and forth world of flying cross country when in 1979 he suffered a serious panic attack.  The confined space of a commercial aircraft without the ability to exit at any time triggered a claustrophobic reaction in Madden  After trying a number of alternatives, Madden settled into an RV lifestyle that allowed him to have the luxuries of home with him wherever he traveled.
